So four out of six people in the new group has got full plate. I guess any kind of subtle operation is just out of the question now.
Oh well I suppose we can use them as a distraction tool, 'you guys run that way, and I'll sneak in while everyone is trying to figure out where the infernal racket is coming from.'

ReplyDeleteSee, if I were especially vicious, I would be looking at the Bebilith, with its rend armour ability, or the rust monster, or perhaps lots of night-time raids, or a nice long sea voyage...
Good thing I'm not especially vicious...
Bwa-ha-ha!
(Although it's only three out of six - the ranger and the fighter/rogue have mithral shirts, and the sorcerer doesn't wear any true armour.)

ReplyDeleteI'd put them up against a rust monster, especially as the big bad. Then leave certain clues lying around like rusted armour, etc. If they don't like it they should go play with the Elves. ;)
I really don't think we can complain too much though, at the beginning I thought Plate would be restricted like gunpowder weapons are due to the setting though I was thinking it was an exact copy of the Roman Empire rather than a high fantasy setting (since it seems to be?).
